About

The aim of the Job Club is to get together with others looking for work, to help each other find the right job.

The Job Club is a place where we can meet every week to share tea or coffee, mutual support and:

  • encourage one another
  • share experiences and contacts
  • gain practical skills that help in finding work

Since money can be very tight while looking for work, the Job Club is free.

Job Club runs on Fridays from 10-11:30am in the upstairs hall at the St Andrew’s Centre. There is no need to book simply drop by and see if it could help

Job Club is is supported by St Andrew’s Church, Histon.

History

The Job Club grew out of an informal group from St Andrew’s Histon that Keith Palmer started and used to meet for coffee in Barkers on Histon High Street on a Friday morning and share experiences during their search for work. This group has now wound down, as almost all the members have got jobs!

In August 2014 Chris Cox felt it was time to open the group up and put it on a more formal footing and so the Job Club was launched with the first meeting on 26 September 2014.
