Headlining this event is Illumina. With headquarters in the US, Illumina are leading developers, manufacturers and marketers of next generation life science tools and intergrated systems for large-scale analysis of genetic variation and biological function. At their office in Cambridge, they have a range of vacancies open from Scientists, to Account Managers, Health & Safety Specialists and Scientific Internships. We have an exciting agenda for you, including two interactive careers sessions being facilitated by Kate Atkin – Speaker, Facilitator & Trainer and Tom Froggatt, MD at Singular Talent. Kate will be running an insightful session on imposter syndrome and Tom will be delivering an interactive workshop entitled “How to take control of your career”.

11.10am am – 11.40am – Headline sponsor Illumina, company presentation. Illumina are currently recruiting for an Applications Trainer, Tender Specialist, Manufacturing Chemist, Membrane Chemist, Polymer Scientist, and a Service Delivery Programme Specialist plus others.

11.40am – 12.10pm – Dr Reddy’s company presentation. Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. is an integrated global pharmaceutical company, with revenues of over $2.2 billion. They have over 20,000 employees worldwide and a commercial presence in more than 20 countries.

12.55pm – 1.25pm – Sartorius company presentation. Based near Cambridge UK, Sartorius specialise in the design and manufacture of automated cell culture and fermentation systems for the biopharma, regenerative medicine and industrial biotechnology sectors. Current openings include Development Scientist, Management Accountant Team Lead, Scrum Master, Financial Business Partner, Project Manager, Support Engineer, plus many others.

1.35pm – 2.15pm – Kate Atkin, speaker, facilitator, and trainer. A careers workshop with Kate covering imposter syndrome. Have you ever had a nagging doubt that you’ll be found out one day? Perhaps it’s to do with a presentation you need to give, a role you have, or someone you manage.

As a speaker, facilitator and coach, Kate’s aim is to inspire courage, build confidence and strengthen inner resilience by helping you uncover your success stories and thereby flourish both at work and in life. Kate helps people overcome what is commonly referred to as the imposter syndrome – that feeling of not being as good as people think or say you are (it’s really a phenomenon).

2.15pm – 2.45pm – BIOS Health Ltd company presentation. BIOS is unlocking the potential of the nervous system in treating chronic disease by using AI-powered neural interfaces that can translate the ‘language’ of the nervous system. Current job openings; Systems Engineer and DevOps Engineer.

2.45pm – 3.15pm – Zyme Communications company presentation. Zyme Communications provides PR and marketing services for the life science sector. They support companies to raise their profile, build corporate value and generate interest from commercial leads, investors and partners. 3.15pm – 3.45pm – Secure Thingz company presentation. Secure Thingz was founded with a focus on developing and delivering advanced security solutions into the emerging Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and critical infrastructure markets.
